[00:00:00] Got it right on, Cory Gardner. He’s a good man. We need to support him, get him reelected.

[00:00:05] We’ll be back on the Jeff Crankshafts A.M. 740 KNBR dot com or stimulating talk. This is Saturday morning with Jeff Krank on A.M. seven 740 and cavey or dot com.

[00:00:26] All right, welcome back. Our three of the Jeff Craig show, I appreciate you joining me.

[00:00:31] Listen, there’s a congressional race here in Colorado that’s hotly contested and the Democrats are spending a lot of money to try and take this seat back. We’re not going to let them take this seat back. I have endorsed Lauren Bobert for Congress in the 3rd Congressional Congressional District. That’s my hometown of Pueblo, is in the 3rd Congressional District. My family lives there. They’re excited. They’ve been working for Lauren Bobert and her campaign. I know they’ve been down making calls for President Trump and for for Lauren down at the Republican headquarters there in in Pueblo County. Lauren, thanks for joining me. How are you today?

[00:01:11] I am doing great. Thank you so much for having me on.

[00:01:15] Yes. It’s it’s great to have you back. We had John a few weeks ago, and and I just appreciate you taking some time from from the campaign to do this. So for those who don’t know, let me just quickly say, I mean, basically the 3rd Congressional District is Pueblo and the Western Slope. There’s a few other counties in there as well. But but most of the western slope and then and then the city and county of Pueblo as well. So first of all, how’s the campaign going? I know it’s been a it’s been a bruising fight. There’s a lot of TV ads going on. And I remember when I ran for Congress, you turn it on a go, I’m not sure I’d vote for myself if all this stuff was true. But of course, unfortunately, it’s not true in your in your case. But go ahead. How’s it going?

[00:02:03] That’s that’s funny, I was saying the exact same thing last night, I had a I had a girl come up to me at an event and she said, you know, I I got to let you know, I researched you because I’m a Republican, but I don’t vote for Republicans just because they’re Republicans. I want to know what they stand for. That I research steel. And you have my vote. Well, praise the Lord, because I don’t know if I researched three these days. There’s a lot of mudslinging and I expected these personal attacks. And that’s OK. I’m fine with it because I know what I signed up for. I signed up to be in the Democrats way. I am their problem right now and they have to attack me personally because they can’t win on policy. Their policies destroy our economy, kill our jobs and bankrupt our country. I wouldn’t want to run on that either. So I am traveling all 29 of these counties every single day and meeting with folks.

[00:02:57] I’m in Durango right now. We’re headed down to Montezuma County. We’ll be in court. Heads will be in go to spring today. And then I’ll be back in Pueblo again on October thirty first. I might even show up a little bit early and do some doorknocking and get out the vote with folks. But we’ll be at Bumper’s October thirty first at noon and that’ll be a fantastic event open to the public. People can stop by and come and see us and hear what I have to say it as well as some other local candidates.

[00:03:25] Well, that that’d be great. As I mentioned, you know, my family still lives in Pueblo, lots of family. I have a brother and a sister in law who live down there. They actually have gone out and I know made phone calls for you and for for Donald Trump. So if you run into any Kranks, tell him hello for me. I wanted to talk about some of the lies that have been going on. And I know your opponent, Diane, Mitch Bush is her name. She’s got some some ads out and some other things. And I mean, crazy stuff. She’s she said that you’re you’re an anti vaccine or that you’re opposed to vaccines. Any thoughts on that?

[00:04:02] Well, so we were trying to figure out where she got that from. We finally found the clip that they had totally taken that out of context. It was a radio–just like this, a radio interview that I was doing. And somebody brought up Colorado’s SB 163 where governor Jared Polis would mandate vaccines and hold our children’s education hostage. And that’s what I was saying was really bad. I believe that it should be a personal choice. My husband and I are vaccinated. Our kids are vaccinated. I have four boys. I believe that that is a personal choice. And and people should be able to talk with their doctors and make that decision, not having government come in and forcing that decision on people. So that should be there should be between patients and doctors, not not have more government intervention. And so that’s what I was talking about there. I’m I’m all for the personal choice to vaccinate.

[00:04:58] Sure. She’s also trying to tell everybody and I’ve seen her ads. She talks about being an independent. I mean, she’s a Democrat. She’s a very liberal Democrat.

[00:05:08] But on that, yes, she is a far left job killing hide in the basement socialist. Let me ask you, had Pueblo seen Diane, Mitt Bush? No. She’s in her high mountain home in Steamboat Springs. She’s too good to come down to Pueblo. And, you know, she set herself in an interview that people often forget about Pueblo and and ignore Pueblo. And then in the same breath that I won’t be going to Pueblo, I won’t be visiting them.

[00:05:36] And I have been in Pueblo almost every week and I’ve met some of the most incredible people. And, you know, I’ve been I’ve been down with the steelworkers in Pueblo. Hundreds of steel workers laid off. Nationally, they endorsed my opponent and that made the local guys mad. And some of them called me up and said, hey, your opponent’s policies will kill our industry. We make the pipes for our fracking. We make the casing for the wells. And and they saw on her on her Web site, they work to welfare program where she would she would force forced the industry away through her policies and then put them on welfare. Give them a government, have a government program waiting for them to retrain them. And, hey, maybe you’ll you’ll be good at something else. I mean, that’s just gross to say I’m going to kill your job and put you on welfare.

[00:06:29] Yeah. You brought up something. I was going to talk about that, you know, this this attack on fracking. And, of course, Pueblo CFO and a steel mill makes the seamless tubing that which is used in fracking. And I mean, it’s a direct attack on the city of Pueblo. When I was growing up, they had we had an unemployment rate when S.F. and a steel mill was was almost closed, almost down to nothing of 21 percent unemployment rate in Pueblo back in those days. Those are the days we don’t want to return to. But we will. So if you have people like Dianne, Mitch Bush who are out there, you know, killing jobs in the city of Pueblo. So your thoughts on fracking and and the importance of that to our economy.

[00:07:16] Well, her.

[00:07:17] Her policies regarding our energy alone should disqualify her from representing the people here in this district. Jeff, she wants to put my husband out of work. He he’s job for natural gas for 17 years. He wants these these steel workers who are currently unemployed to remain unemployed and healthy, retrain them to do something else. And, you know, it’s we have more than 80 percent federal lands here in Colorado. Third congressional district.

[00:07:43] And he’s taken an entire fossil fuel pledge. We have the Jordan Coast pipeline that the Trump administration has helped approve and pushed through. And we could that that allows us to export our clean liquid natural gas to countries who are currently dependent on communist dictator for their energy. We could sell our good, clean energy across the globe. And instead, my opponent wants to side with Iranian terrorists or outsource our energy to China and Africa. Jeff, we know that child and slave labor abuse there. And and she wants our rare earth minerals be mined there. We could be mining that right here in America, using America’s resources, creating American jobs, leaving those high paying jobs back to our district and help our economy and small businesses to know we’re not only creating international markets, we’re helping small businesses right here at home in my restaurant. I know that things are moving along when there’s mud on my floor that I have to clean up with that either. Come on now. They’re coming in from the field after a long, hard day’s work. And, you know, this is it would be absolutely devastating to our economy to further push oil and gas out of here.

[00:08:56] They’ve already been overregulated out. And, you know, I want to be on the front lines, bringing them back, bringing those high paying jobs back, you know, back in the 80s. They tried to get rid of oil and gas and shale and it didn’t work. It devastated our economy. And now I have an opponent who wants to do that very same thing. Again, it’s funny. She has a Ph.D., and somehow she manages to get every single policy wrong.

[00:09:24] Well, yeah, it did. No question about it. Lauren, thanks for joining us. Lauren, Bover, listen, you’re going to win the good people of Pueblo. Portillo’s a good town. I mean, you know, there’s a lot of Democrats down there, but they’re there. Yes. She as you know, they voted for Trump in 2016. They’re hard working people. They believe in in God. They believe in guns. They believe in all the things that middle men life uses. Yes, exactly. And go ahead.

[00:09:53] Well, life is on the ballot. Right, yeah.

[00:09:56] Colorado this year, we have we have an opportunity to save thousands of lives. Colorado is one of seven states that allow full term abortion. And we can reduce that down to 20 to 24 weeks. I believe that most Americans can see that that is a child that can live on its own outside of the womb. And we have an opportunity to protect those lives right here. And I will always stand for the sanctity of life. Give voice to the voiceless. And my opponent, he proudly endorsed by Planned Parenthood and as as a legislator, as as the congresswoman representing Pueblo and and those life loving individuals there. I am having the power of the purse. I will always tell Planned Parenthood to go fund themselves.

[00:10:40] Yeah. Okay. Very good Lord. I like that. I like that. All right. Lauren Bover, if you live in Pueblo, if you live in the 3rd Congressional District, vote for Lauren Bobo. Thanks for joining us. Lauren, we’re out of time. I appreciate it. I’ll be right back.

[00:10:54] On the Jeff Craig show you 740 TV or dot com. Jeff.
