[00:00:00] Back to the Dan Coppola Show, Dick Wadhams in the house. How you doing, Laurin? Heidi, let’s go to the VIP line and welcome Lauren Bobert. Soon to be Congresswoman Bobert. Back to the Dan Kappler show, Dick Wadhams in the House. How you doing, Lauren?

[00:00:15] Hi, Brianna. I think it’s great to be on here with you guys. We have five days left.

[00:00:23] So it’s it’s amazing because we think back to the first time you joined us on the show when you were climbing the tallest of mountains to beat an incumbent Republican in a primary. And then you climb that mountain. And I have no doubt that you’re going to conquer this one. But I need to work out more often because I also saw your spot this morning working out. That was a very good spot. Where does the race stand right now?

[00:00:47] Well, you saw me work it out.

[00:00:48] No, no, no. I’m not that kind of guy. I saw your spot. I was working out. I saw your TV. Spy chiefs, I need to be more precise. Would say that is fake news, Van. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. You had time to work out. No, no. But no, it was it was really good.

[00:01:09] This is we are all we are all throughout the district. And I am so excited about the next the next five days. I’m headed down to Pueblo right now and we’re gonna spend the weekend. There will be knock on doors. And I have the events listed on my Facebook page more and vote for Congress. So if anybody wants to join us and help us knock doors and get the vote out in Pueblo, I would love to meet these folks and then send them out with a game plan on how we can win this election. Bigly.

[00:01:40] And I’m doubting that they’re gonna find your competitor knocking on doors. I mean, you are the picture of energy. You’re the picture of grass roots and your competitor. Has anybody seen her?

[00:01:52] No. We got even. I’ll be the ad. She has their rerun from 2018. They have to use her old DRL because she won’t leave her basement. I don’t know how anyone expects to represent 29 counties without reading their ski mountain resort town. So it’s it’s incredible that she thinks she’s going to go to Washington, D.C. to represent people, that she has not looked in the eye and shaking their hands in and committed to work for them each and every day. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. I’ve been meeting with hundreds and thousands of people throughout the district and ensuring them. I will fight for them each and every day. I will spend every waking moment making sure they get the best end of the deal, that we have a thriving economy here, that our energy industry is huge. I want those steelworkers in Pueblo back to work. There are hundreds who are laid off right now. And I’m going to DC to do you work for them and get get D.C. to hike out of Colorado. Get more Colorado into DC.

[00:02:56] Lauren, this is Dick. Do you think anybody’s told Mitch Bush that by supporting the Green New Deal, she’s killing those Pueblo jobs because they’re steelworkers make pipes pipe for the oil and gas industry? Do you think anybody’s mentioned that’s her?

[00:03:13] So that’s exactly what these guys do. They make this pipeline fracking and they make the casing to keep our wells safe and secure. And, you know, she’s taken an anti fossil fuel pledge. She refuses to support the Jordan Cove pipeline that would create international markets. We could we could export our clean liquid natural gas to these countries who are currently dependent on communist dictator for their energy. But instead, he would rather side with Iranian terrorists or outsource our energy to China and wealthy or to China and excuse me, Africa, where we know that child and slave labor is often used. And so I do think someone has has told her or maybe she’s done a little bit of research, because if you go to her Web site, she has a work to welfare program ready for these steelworkers. She knows that her policies will kill their industry. And she has a government program waiting there for them when they lose their job.

[00:04:07] And Lauren, let’s talk about between now and Election Day. First, congratulations on the endorsement from Scott McGinnis. I thought that was a very powerful and wonderful man. Yeah. Yeah. Very powerful and very important. And but let’s face it, I mean, it is your energy. I mean, this this is what the founders envisioned. I mean, you started as as a young mother, you your energy, your beliefs. You went out there and and you have made it happen. And so it’s impossible for me to imagine that that kind of energy and grassroots support that you have built is somehow going to be overcome on Election Day by somebody down in her basement who’s getting a lot of money from Nancy Pelosi. So. Well, what can everybody listening to right now between now and Election Day? Obviously, they don’t have to live in c.D three to support you. Right. What can they do to help you get over the finish line?

[00:04:56] So for those folks especially that don’t live in c.D three, we always need dollars. And I this Bush is on the record saying that we are outraising her in a grassroots effort because this is about the people and she has these big, big tech companies that are supporting her through through their PAC and corporate PAC. She said that she swore she wouldn’t take money from. But this is grassroots and this is about the people. So we need dollars and we need votes. This is all about get out the vote. And that’s why I’m spending the next forty’s in Pueblo, because I want to have their voices heard and this election. And that’s that’s really what this is about. They are trying to buy their way into Congress. There’s nothing exciting that they can run an ad on about my opponent that is motivating people to the polls. So instead, they want to spend three point five million dollars into scaring people out of voting for me with their lies. And, you know, I’m not moved by their lives. And there’s a heck of a lot of people here in our district that are not moved by them. They see right through this, you know, they they want to take one hundred dollar traffic ticket that I’ve got a mugshot for and try to Villon vilify me. But that guy there is a darn good reason. I have my hometown sheriff endorsement. He knows my character and he has been supporting me since the day that I am now. And so they can they can run that pretty little mug shot. All they want, you know, the hundred dollar traffic ticket. This is about the people. This isn’t about my driving records.

[00:06:22] This that’s going to backfire on them. Lauren. Dick, final thoughts?

[00:06:25] Warren, I’ve been on a couple political panels for the last few weeks, and I just make one simple observation that a restaurant owner from Reifel has a lot more in common with the 3rd District than a sociologist from Steamboat Springs. That’s what I would say.

[00:06:41] Well, I’d say go get him. But you you already are. So, hey, Jed, just keep doing what you’re doing and we’ll look forward to celebrating with you.

[00:06:49] Yes. Always great to be on with you guys. Thank you so much. We sure do appreciate you.

[00:06:52] Thank you. That is Lauren Bobak.

[00:06:54] And I love seeing that. Yeah. You know, I feel that is a brilliant move by her to spend the next four days in Pueblo. Mich Bush’s only chance is to basically restore Pueblo to a Democratic performance that they’ve had historically.

[00:07:14] So I think that is really brilliant on the Bubar campaign to make that decision. I really do love what she’s doing.
