[00:00:13] And that district includes Pueblo, too. So to those of you who are listening in Pueblo and Walsenburg in Trinidad. This one’s for you. And this is a very important race. And I want to point out that I have also invited the Democrat who’s running to come on, have not got any response whatsoever from them. But joining me right now is Loren Bobber. Loren is the Republican candidate in the 3rd Congressional District, which really includes all of the Western slope. And, of course, Pueblo. And so, Lauren, thanks for joining us today. 

[00:00:50] Thank you so much for having me on. This is incredible. Thank you. 

[00:00:53] Yeah. It’s my pleasure. And, you know, first of all, I wish you the best of luck. And I want everybody to know that, you know, I endorse you. 

[00:01:02] You are included on my list of candidates that people should should support and vote for. 

[00:01:08] This is absolutely critical that you win this race and this is going to be highly targeted by the Democrats, is highly targeted by the Democrats and the Republicans really for control of the House of Representatives. 

[00:01:23] First of all, just tell us why you’re running for Congress. 

[00:01:25] I am running for Congress because we need a strong voice. We need a strong messenger with a message to bring to D.C. So often we have too much of D.C. and Colorado. And my goal is to bring more of Colorado to D.C.. I was working with a lot of folks here in the district and some grassroots citizen led efforts like the National Popular Vote Compact and collecting signatures and talking with people about the issues that matter most to them. I was saying that we just didn’t have a voice and we were often drowned out by liberals in Denver and Boulder. And what we have to say on the matter. Doesn’t doesn’t usually turn up and we get ignored. And so during that process, I became the second largest signature gather in the state of Colorado. So we could get the national popular vote contact on the ballot this November. Everybody should have received their little blue book by now. We are less than a week until ballots drops. I need everybody to study what’s on the ballot. It’s so important this year. And with that, we have an opportunity to save our vote for president. This is a very dangerous scheme that puts Colorado’s resources at risk. If it’s Colorado’s water at risk and it allows people to cheat their way to the presidency, we got that on the ballot. We have an opportunity to repeal it and save our electoral vote. But during that time, there was also a visit from a former presidential candidate, Vito O’Rourke. And he had just told our entire nation how, yes, I’m going to take your air 15s and your AK 47 when he announced his visit to Aurora, Colorado. I got in my car and drove three hours to that presidential rally with my Glock on my hip. And I looked him in the eye and told him, hell, no, you’re not. And I did that because I didn’t see anyone else doing it. I didn’t see anyone else landing for freedom, but I felt a whole lot of people giving our freedoms away. And in that moment, I learned that if I take a stand for what I believe in and speak up, we don’t have to remain silent and lose by default. But I can actually affect millions of people and represent their values if I just speak up for them. 

[00:03:39] Yes. And that was that was a great moment. Thank you. Thank you for doing that. And, you know, that’s what America is about as patriots, just kind of standing up and. And that was a moment for you to do that. We appreciate you doing it. Let’s talk about the issues a little bit. Obviously, your your pro Second Amendment support the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. 

[00:04:00] Also want to talk to you to all of the conservative Democrats. You know, I grew up in in Pueblo. That’s my hometown. Donald Donald Trump won Pueblo. Yes. You know, four years ago. And a lot of people don’t realize that his heavily Democrat as as Pueblo is, they’re good people and they’re they’re people who have Catholic faith and a lot know a lot of Catholics and a lot of religious folks and family values there. 

[00:04:28] You’re pro-life, you know. Let’s talk about some of the issues that you’re going to focus on in Washington. 

[00:04:34] Sure. Well, I couldn’t agree with you more about Pueblo. 

[00:04:37] I have spent a lot of time down there, and I’m going back multiple times before the before the ballots drop. And I’m really excited about that. But you’re right, there are a lot of blue collar Democrats who love life, will stand and defend the sanctity of life. They love their Second Amendment. They want to be free and have control over their own life. More government control and a lot of people ask me what my priorities are, and I always tell them that my first vote is going to be to fire Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House. And then we can get focused on getting our country back open for business. That is critical right now. Nancy Pelosi. She wasted a lot of time trying to impeach the president and refusing to work with him on infrastructure and things that we really need. And we need to get past that. But we we need people in our district working. We need markets to be open for our energy, our agriculture, our steel industries. And we need kids back in school and we need to improve access to lower costs for health care. So there’s so many issues that are vital to us right now. And we need to get past all of these Sham’s that the Democrats are involved with and running rampant and really just get people back to work. 

[00:05:57] Well, my guest is Lauren Boger. She’s the candidate, the Republican candidate on your ballot. If you live in Pueblo or you live in, you know, down in Los Animists County, in places like Trinidad, Walsenburg, on the on the western slope, Lauren Bover is the person who some of the issues that you’re going to focus on in Washington.

There’s no doubt about it. And, you know, we talk about Nancy Pelosi and we’ve talked about this sort of do nothing house. 

[00:08:05] I mean, they from for the last four years, they have done nothing but try and impeach the president, try and delay him, try and not work with him. And you want to go and change that gridlock, right, in Washington? 

[00:08:20] Absolutely. Yes. It it’s time that we we do exactly what President Trump has been trying to do for for nearly four years now is put the American people first. 

[00:08:31] Government thinks that they have the answer to all of our needs. But really, every time that they get involved in something, it just makes things worse. And now they want to be involved more in our health care. My opponent is on the record saying that she believes that most people, the majority of people fundamentally agree that they want more government intervention in their health care decisions. This is this is terrible damage. Bush should be disqualified from this race just because of her health care position. She has been lying about her own health care policy. She lies about mine. And then she tries scaring people. And that’s absolutely terrible. I would never vote to take anyone’s health insurance away ever. But her socialized medicine plan immediately would kick one hundred and fifty million people off of their health insurance and abrash health care. So then you have to wait on government to tell you where and when you can get your hair done. I mean, think about it. Look at how the government runs the DMV. Just wait until AMC, Bernie Sanders and Diane Mitch Bush are in charge of your health care. And at this point, Diane is the only candidate in this congressional race who have advocated for the elimination of private insurance and the ACA. 

[00:09:46] That’s exactly what her socialized medicine plan would do. For years, she was on the record supporting Bernie Sanders, practically having a love fest with with him and as his socialized medicine plan and. So it’s it’s incredible that I am up, actually up against someone who has a job killing policies that would completely decimate our local economy. You know, energy is vital here in our district especially. We have some of the greatest energy, the greatest resources this world has to offer. And we have the greatest people to extract those resources and mine them. And it’s incredible. And she actually took an anti fossil fuel pledge and she refuses to support the Jordan coal pipeline. We know that that would open up international market to transport and export our clean liquid natural gas. You know, back to health care. She’s advocated for this health care policy that would shutter our rural hospitals. And she says that her very first priority will be to raise our taxes, to pay for infrastructure. And then, of course, not to mention you’re going to she’s in support of the Green New Deal and that would bankrupt our country.
